Microscope Kit for Exploring Creation with Biology
If you are using Exploring Creation with Biology, and plan to perform the microscope labs in Exploring Creation with Biology, you can purchase this convenient Microscope Kit. The Apologia Exploring Creation with Biology Microscope Kit does not contain a microscope, which must be purchased separately. However, it includes slides and other required items that you likely would not have around the house. This kit can save you time and effort driving to stores or searching around online for these unique items.
The microscope kit contains 16 slides along with a study guide, solutions, blank slides, and other items, which, with your microscope and some household items, gives you what you’ll need to be able to complete the microscope exercises, should you choose to do them. There are some things you’ll need to gather at home, and possibly on a trip to the supermarket, like simple office supply items or food items. Trust us, this is a good thing. You do not want a kit shipped to your house full of fresh fruits, vegetables, and eggs that has been sitting on a shelf waiting for months and months for just the right family to adopt it. That would be a lab experiment unto itself by the time it arrived, and you may find yourself needing to move just to get away from the smell. So you may have to pick up some perishable items if you don’t have them in your pantry already. However, for the things you would have to pick up at the craft store, hobby store, superstore, and/or online, this handy kit has virtually all of them in just the quantities you’ll need to complete your microscopic experiments. If you also wish to complete the dissection exercises, you can find the kit for that here.
Note: A microscope is required to use the items contained in this kit, but is not supplied as a part of this kit. You must already own one or purchase one, and it should have at least three separate magnifications and a maximum magnification of at least 400x. It must also have a “fine focus,” which is separate from the “coarse focus.”
